My Beloved Ah Fong!
Today Dad and I sent Ah Fong off to Changi Airport to take her Silkair flight back to Chiang Mai.. after which her daughter will pick her up to go Chiang Lai, her hometown! woke up at 6AM plus despite sleeping at 4AM! =/ that's like two hours only. Gosh.
On my way there on the car, I realised I really didn't mind fetching Aunt everyday at 5pm after all, but of course when I do get a temp job, I can't because I won't be able to reach home in time by 4.45. Today I got to be downstairs to fetch her at 4.45 or else she'd wander around. Also, if I get a temp job, someone's gotta take over the fetching, and I guess that someone would be like Ah Boy or Mom. LOL. and Ah Fong's vacation back at her hometown for 2 weeks also meant we'd no longer have homecooked food for 2 weeks! And that mom will have to do housework (HAHAHA =P ) and perhaps me too. It'd mean alot of outside, MSG-loaded, da pao food!! Darn. If only I have my bus pass I'd dine wif Sasha everyday..? haha..
At the airport we realised both Ah Fong and her friend (who's accompanying her to go back) both their luggage exceeded the allocated/allowed 20kg. And the counter personnel said she'd have to pay S$400plus for the excess if she wanted to bring those excess baggage along.. which of course is totally not worth it because she would've gotten new clothes with that amount of money. Actually I think alot of her stuffs were because she brought along many of our old clothes and stuffs to give away to her family/friends..
But much of it (lyk 40+ kg?) have to remain in Singapore due to the excess baggage amount. Even if Ah Fong sent an unaccompanied package over, it was also not worth it, as Ah Fong's friend's employers said. Actually it's quite lucky that Ah Fong has a friend to accompany her because if not, it's so scary (I would've been afraid), and also, they can go through all the uncommonly faced local/foreign rules together. It was good that we followed her to the airport as well or else I don't know what would happen if we didn't cos she'd probably not understand much of the excess baggage thingy if Dad was not around.
So it was time for her to go (didn't spend much time together because of the excess baggage problem- at last she took only 2 bags, 3 handcarry baggage, and left 2 big bags of clothes with us to take home) and I hug her goodbye! It was quite sad actually..
2 weeks and it's quite sad. I think if she's really gone, it'd be hard to cope..
I pray for her better health. She must really take care of herself!
And shucks. I thought she must be inside already by 7PM but it was at 7AM like that.. So I didn't really spend much last minute time with her that I planned to. Didn't give her my last massage!! Hope her body isn't sore..ah..Ah Fong will always remain close in my heart! She kinda brought me up! I remember always saying she's lyk my 2nd mother. But ok la sometimes I feel bad cos I AP at her and stuffs..But she's really so nice. spending her pay sometimes to buy us food (which is quite irritating sometimes cos its fattening or I sometimes really don't feel lyk eating em. but it was for a good intention la. she really teng us and treats us as her own kids).. LOL.
Yesterday talked to Sasha and I said I can imagine her in her korean obasang *wear long sleeve flower top, 3 quarter pants, boots, straw hat with ribbon tied to chin* doing farming and looking so tanned/black with her smiling face and white teeth look, under the hot sun... lol that image came into my mind yesterday. haha. It's quite comical but it's so Ah Fong. haha..
And I also hope she gets lotsa rest cos she deserve it. I don't really know her schedule but she works pretty hard. To us it'd be like hell to do the things she does for a pay of like 500/600+ (that's like SIP pay and we're like complaining), and like once in a month go out kinda life. Plus her daily schedule is something like wake up at 5+6, then get ready breakfast, wash+hang clothes, prepare lunch, dinner, fold clothes (for family of like 8.. wow. Sometimes school already wears me out enough I nap but I havent really seen her nap before except when she falls asleep drinking kopi so.. yeah, this time she gotta rest well.. re-energise!!
